I think they are just trying to make the association between Obama and I'm a dinner jacket. I don't think the text or the fact that its a poll is relevant.

Ads like that are some of the most effective CTR generators AND surprisingly LP converters on a CPA basis. The fact that they should be optimizing the LP based on what the user click's on is fairly obvious but I guess that less then 5% of all LP's are targeted/optimized in some fashion. Seems so obvious but so few folks have figured this out - even folks who know what they are doing don't yet take this step.
